Hello everyone and welcome!
I'm an Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator in Japan.
I'm so excited to be a part of this new blog hop "Thinking outside of the Box".
Thanks to Tanja Kolar for coordinating this team, and also to my dear friend Satomi Wellard (SU! Demo in Australia and Japan) for introducing me to this group.
Actually, making boxes and 3D projects are very challenging for me, and I hesitated to join the group at first. However, I thought I'll just give a try, and the project rather turned out to be a fun creation, which I myself had not expected.
So, the first project is "CHOCOLATE DISPENSER".
I was thinking of making it into a lovely design at first... but then... changed my mind.
I gave one to the kids next door and they just love it!!!
This is fairly small; Japanese sized I should say.
And here is the tutorial.
Click each photo to enlarge an image, if needed.
All measurements are in centimeters.
Paper
[A] 21.0 x 7.0 cm
[B] 8.1 x 8.1 cm
[C] 12.0 x 10.5 cm
Here, I'm using whisper white card stock.
Score at
[A] long side (21.0 cm): 5, 10, 15, 20 cm
[B] 2 sides : 1.5, 6.6 cm
[C] long side (12.0 cm) : 3.6, 8.4 cm
short side (10.5 cm) : 2.5, 7.5 cm
Cutting
[A] 21.0 x 7.0 cm paper
I've measured 3.0 cm and 2.5 cm
as shown below.
Then cut.
This is how it would look like when folded.
Cutting
[B] 8.1 x 8.1 cm paper
(Sorry about all these "1 mm" measurements.
This is for all mechanics to work, so bear with me!)
This is how it would look like when folded.
* After several attempts, I thought it would work even better if I had trimmed these 4 corners.
Cutting
[C] 12.0 x 10.5 cm paper
This is the most complicated piece in this project.
Cut out 2 pieces from the top corners.
Mark diagonal lines in the left and right bottom corners with a pencil.
Draw another line (see below).
To do this, I had simply connected center points from each line shown in orange (see below). Arrows shows the center of each line.
Cut!
This is how it would look like when folded.
Decorate!
(I had mistakenly made a score line on the lower lip piece. Please ignore that.)
You can use any coloring tools you'd like, but you may want to try new Stampin' Blends which will be available next month!!
Assemble
Put some adhesive (I'd prefer tape runner) on the back of 1 and 2s.
Adhere 1, followed by 2s.
2s will be adhered on to where the arrows are in the above picture, which would be the back of his/her cheeks.
Tada
You can try with other colors and characters, animals, monsters, or whatever comes to your mind.
Probably good for some Halloween fun.
Some of may have tried to leave a comment on my blog but couldn't. Thank you and sorry!!! It was my blog setting, and I have changed it.
Thanks for visiting!
